Later, Chang 'e took the medicine after running to the moon, Houyi miss Chang 'e, every year on this day in the garden on her favorite things to eat, hoping that she can come back to reunion, this custom passed down from generation to generation, and eventually evolved into the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The Mid-Autumn Festival originated in ancient times, popularized in the Han Dynasty, shaped in the early Tang Dynasty, and prevailed after the Song Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Mid-Autumn Festival became the second most popular traditional festival in China, next to the Spring Festival.
